Notes
-
Chicken Selection: Opt for boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs. They cook evenly and absorb the flavors well.
-
Garlic is Gold: Fresh garlic cloves offer a more robust flavor than pre-minced or powdered versions. Invest in a good garlic press for easy mincing.
-
Sun-Dried Tomatoes: Choose tomatoes packed in oil for added richness. Drain and pat dry before adding to avoid excess oil in your dish.
-
Spinach Substitution: If you're not a fan of spinach, kale is a great alternative. It adds a slightly different texture and is equally nutritious.
-
Cream Matters: For a richer sauce, use heavy cream. For a lighter version, half-and-half works, but the sauce might be less thick.
-
Seasoning Sensation: Don't rush the seasoning. Start with a pinch and taste as you go. Remember, you can always add, but you can't take away.
-
Searing is Key: Sear the chicken on both sides until golden before adding the sauce. This locks in flavors and gives the chicken a delightful texture.
-
Serve with Zoodles: To keep it keto-friendly, serve your Creamy Tuscan Garlic Chicken over zucchini noodles or cauliflower rice.
